Dr. Alison Jacoby is an obstetrician-gynecologist who founded the Comprehensive Fibroid Center to provide personalized patient care and effective treatment options to women with fibroids.

Dr. Jeannette Lager is an obstetrician gynecologist who brings her expertise in minimally invasive approaches to caring for women with abnormal uterine bleeding and fibroids to the team. Dr. Lager believes that educating patients on a variety of treatment options enables them to make the best possible decision for the management of fibroid care. She loves to collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to provide personalized care. 

Dr. Jessica Opoku-Anane is a fellowship-trained minimally invasive gynecologist. She is a specialist in the treatment of fibroids, abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain, alternatives to hysterectomy, and advanced gynecologic surgery. Her thoughtful approach to patients and individualized treatment plans allow her to provide exceptional care that addresses the needs of all patients. In particular, she strives to provide a minimally invasive approach to her patients’ needs whenever possible.

Dr. Vanessa Jacoby is an obstetrician gynecologist who devotes her time to both research and patient care.  She is most interested in conducting research that provides women with fibroids the best possible scientific evidence to guide and inform their treatment decisions. Dr. Jacoby is the lead investigator for the University of California Fibroid Network, a state-wide collaboration to improve the care of women with fibroids through research, education, and collaborative clinical practice.

Maureen P. Kohi, MD, is an Associate Professor of Clinical Radiology in the Vascular and Interventional Radiology division of the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Kohi received her medical degree from New York Medical College with honors and completed her Diagnostic Radiology residency at UCSF.
